Editor's Note
Appointed Grand Admiral (Kaptan-i Derya) in 1714, Canim Hoca Mehmed Pasha was captured by the Venetians in a skirmish off Imbros and spent seven years as a galley-slave convict. Source: Morea Campaign (1715), Wikipedia. Note: The location is unknown. It is assumed that the Ottoman ships came through the Dardanelles and fought in this vicinity.
