Ahmed-i Hani was born in 1650-51 in the village of Han, in the Cukurca district of Hakkari. His father's name was Sheikh Ilyas and his mother's name was Gulnigar. Because he belonged to the Hani clan, a branch of the Pinyanis tribe, and was born in the village of Han, he is known as Ahmed-i Hani (Ehmede Xani, Ahmed of Hani). [3] Ahmed-i Hani died in Dogubayazit in 1707. His tomb is in Dogubayazit, Agri.
