Arap Zengi Castle is a medieval defensive structure in the Tendurek Mountain region. The castle was built using basalt stones leveled among volcanic lava and tuff rocks. In 2024 the structure was registered as a 'historic site' by the Van Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage and entered into the Van Provincial Cultural Inventory. The castle lies about 20 kilometers from the center of Caldiran district, among the steep lava formations of Mount Tendurek. Owing to its geographical position, the area has historically been known as difficult to access.
