The building's date of construction is unknown. Right beside the stairs in the entrance area, the mosque's inscription has been removed from its place and set on the ground. The inscription reveals that the mosque was repaired by Ismail Aga in 1886-87, and that earlier individuals named Haznedarzade and Mustafa Efendi had also contributed to it. It appears the building may have been constructed in the 18th century. The rectangular-plan mosque is covered with a flat wooden ceiling.
