Editor's Note
It stands on a steep slope between two hills, in the hamlet of Vank, which lies 3 km as the crow flies from the village on a high hilltop and for that reason was not submerged beneath the Perisuyu dam. It is thought to be at least 300 years old. The entrance (west) façade is faced with dressed stone. The most original and labour-intensive part of the work is its doorway. Arched, it is of white stone neatly cut and carved, including the threshold - though it has been damaged. Numerous cross marks of varying shape and size are carved into the stones of the doorway and on its ornate pediment. Above it is a window opening. At the entrance of the doorway are two niches carved into the stone.
