Commissioned by: Mürsel Paşa - Date of construction: 1916 (AH 1335). It stands to the south of the village road, in a meadow. The monument was erected in memory of the soldiers from the Karlıova region who fell in the Ottoman-Russian war. Its inscription reads: "Dedicated by their comrades, the officers of Çanakçı, to the Revered Martyrs of the Twelfth Division in the Caucasus Campaign, 1332-1333." Below the text is a laurel branch. A monument in the form of a rectangular prism, made of a single piece of grey and beige dressed stone and topped with a stone sphere, rests upon a memorial base, also of dressed stone, shaped as a recessed and projecting rectangular prism.
