Editor's Note
In the harbour area there are three courses of wall showing different masonry techniques. The best preserved of these are the cut-stone walls that today form the main body of the harbour. When the site on which the harbour structure formed by these walls was built is assessed, with its artificial walls extending out into the sea on a natural beach lacking any cove, it resembles the harbours of Caesarea and Soli-Pompeiopolis, which are dated to between the end of the 1st century AD and the mid-2nd century AD.
