The semicircular-arched windows of the building, which is covered by a barrel vault, have sandstone lintels and jambs, while its entrance is framed with blocks of Sarımsak stone. Its apse, semicircular on the exterior, was converted into a hearth in modern times with a chimney added on top. The architecture of the building, and particularly the circular windows above the apse, recalls the apses of the basilica-plan churches built in Ayvalık in the mid-19th century. It is therefore likely that the chapel too was built around that period.
