It is located on Tekkuyu Lane within the Mithatpasa neighbourhood of Cunda Island in the Ayvalik district of Balikesir province. Built of stone, the well has no rim-curb stone (bilezik). It is thought to have been built in the early 20th century. It was registered by the Directorate of the Balikesir Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage as an immovable cultural asset requiring protection (Group 2) by decision no. 1815 of 29 January 2020.
