Editor's Note
According to the inscription on the qibla wall, the mosque was first built in 1743 by Haci Bekir Aga, and rebuilt in 1946 by Ayse Hesna Hanim, daughter of Emir Hafiz. The mosque covers about 400 square metres and has a single-balconied minaret, a toilet, an ablution area, and two historic plane trees in its courtyard. The minaret was first built in 1809; it collapsed in the 1953 Yenice earthquake, and the present minaret was erected the same year by Haci Ayse Hesna. The mosque was last restored by the Directorate of Foundations in 1992.
