Editor's Note
Having an endowment deed dated 1567, the mescit is understood to have been built before that date. Although the mosque has no foundation inscription, the date Rumi 1240 (1824) beneath the "Maşallah" and besmele inscriptions on its entrance wall indicates that the building underwent a repair at that time.
