Editor's Note
According to its inscription, it was built in 1809 by Murtazaoğlu Harputluzade Mustafa Ağa. However, a record of the mescit's endowment in a 1567 endowment register suggests an earlier date. Osman Bayatlı reports that the mosque underwent a major restoration in the 1950s and that its portico (son cemaat) section was closed off.
