While travelling to the city of Erzincan, which was held as the fief of Nur Ali Halife, he learned that Sinan Pasha, one of the Ottoman viziers, was pursuing him with an army. In the battle fought at the Eyüyazı locality, Sinan Pasha was defeated, after which Nur Ali Halife returned to Erzincan as a victorious commander. Source: the Nur Ali Halife Rebellion, Wikipedia.
