According to the inscription above the entrance door to the portico, it was built by Mahmut Pasha in H.1223 / 1808-09 CE. The mosque has an asymmetrical plan and a three-aisled plan type perpendicular to the mihrab. Because the south wall was made long, there is a distortion in the mosque's rectangular plan. On the north side is a portico that, again, does not have a regular plan and was added later.
