This work gathers together the architectural journey of the Turks, from Central Asia to the present day, after their embrace of Islam. The mosque's minaret is in the Central Asian style. The building's octagonal main body, its dome, and its portico reflect the style of the Seljuk-Beyliks period. The exterior is entirely clad in ceramics. The mosque was commissioned by the painter Ahmet Yakupoğlu.
