The mosque is located in the centre of the village of Şahmelek in the Tavşanlı district of Kütahya Province. The mosque is rectangular in plan with a hipped roof. It has a single minaret positioned at its northwest corner. The transitions at the window edges of the mosque show late Ottoman influence. According to the sign on the building, it was built in 1325/1907-1908.
