Editor's Note
Built in 1516 by Sultan Selim I during his Egyptian campaign, the Karabıyık Bridge still survives today. Located at the 38th kilometre of the Yozgat-Boğazlıyan highway and spanning the Kaynak Stream, the Karabıyık Bridge has lost its inscription. Cut stone was used in its construction. It is 54 metres long with a width of 4.50 metres, and its arch span is 6.60 metres.
