Editor's Note
The Lale Mosque, located in the Yenice neighbourhood of Kırşehir, is a historic structure built in the 13th century. Made of rubble and cut stone, it is covered by three domes resting on piers; however, because its architecture differs from the traditional mosque plan, many sources suggest that it may actually have been built as a mint (a place for striking coins).
