The Çarşı Mosque in Kırşehir, built in 1864 by Hüseyin Bey in the late Ottoman period, is a square-plan historic monument without a minaret. It is one of the rare mosques constructed with the nailless interlocking-timber technique known as the "swallow ceiling" (kırlangıç ceiling), and it remains actively open for worship today.
