The Gergeme Mill, built in the early years of the Republic, is a historic structure that served the people of the region for many years from its setting in the Lower Gergeme district, where the Sarımsaklı Stream flows past its front and the natural sound of the large waterfall beside it blends into the scene. Left abandoned for around forty years, with many of its sections collapsed and the whole building at risk of disappearing, the mill was saved and given a new function through a comprehensive restoration project carried out by the Bünyan Municipality.
