Editor's Note
This rock church is probably the most heavily damaged among the rock churches of Vekse. With only two of the columns that carry the nave along its southwest-northeast axis remaining intact, the original architecture of this small barrel-vaulted church - with a main axis 8 m long - has undergone change and destruction over time too great to be imagined. Yet its asymmetrical rectangular plan, as can be seen, is quite intriguing.
