Derevenk Vadisi Columbarium Mezarları

Editor's Note

This columbarium rock tomb in the Derevek Valley, built with three visible entrances and a total of six rooms, preserves three cross reliefs intact inside. It contains hundreds of shelf-like burial niches and one large, yellow ground-level niche, while the last room at the far right of the structure holds a burial chamber known as an arcosolium. In columbarium tombs, the ashes of the cremated dead were placed in an earthenware vessel and arranged in the burial niches carved into the interior walls.
