The monastery ruin in Tavlusun was built on a rectangular plan running east to west. Both dressed cut stone and rubble stone were used in its construction, giving the building both durability and a monumental appearance. Although it is in ruins today, the traces of its outer walls, and especially the entrance portal set in the middle of the north facade, remain distinctive. Fully smooth ashlar workmanship stands out on the entrance portal. The lintel of the doorway is completed by a round arch, which is enlivened above by a triangular pediment.
