Editor's Note
The Phrygian Way is a long-distance walking and cycling route, marked to international standards, created in the region between today's provinces of Ankara, Afyonkarahisar, Eskişehir, and Kütahya, where the Phrygians ruled in antiquity. Based on ancient walking paths and on trails where Phrygian remains can be seen, the route has a total length of about 506 km. Beginning at three points - 1) Gordion (Polatlı, Ankara), 2) Seydiler (Afyonkarahisar), and 3) Yenice Çiftliği (Ahmetoluğu Village, Kütahya) - the route enters the Phrygian Valleys and converges at Yazılıkaya, the heart of Phrygia.
