Doğanlı Kale and Deveboynu Kale are two fortresses located in the valley about 1.5 km northwest of Çukurca village, on a rocky plateau set well above the valley floor. Deveboynu Kale stands on the edge of a rocky slope. On the northwest side of the rock are two typical Phrygian rock tombs. Doğanlı Kale was built on a single rock about 50 m west of Deveboynu Kale. Almost all of the seven levels carved into the rock belong to the Byzantine period.
