Editor's Note
Built of cut stone, the Tomb of Şeyh Şücâüddin is covered by a high-drummed, lead-clad dome, and the building's exterior façades are enlivened with rectangular shallow niches. It consists of an octagonal-plan main chamber and a projecting rectangular-plan, domed entrance unit on its east side. The doorway on this façade has a Bursa-arch opening. The inscription above the inner segmental-arched door states that the building was erected in 921 (1515) by Kasım Bey, son of Bâlî Bey, during the reign of Sultan Bayezid's son Yavuz Sultan Selim.
