Our soldiers who fell in the Evliyafakı neighborhood, where hand-to-hand fighting took place during the Battle of Sakarya, were buried in the local neighborhood (village) cemetery here. Following surveys carried out by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, a martyrs' memorial was built within this cemetery.
