Editor's Note
The original settlement of Ilıca village lies in the area where the Ilıca spring is located. The Ilıca area, where nomadic tribes were settled, was probably inhabited in the 1500s. There is a mound in the village that was a Roman-period settlement. Beside this ancient settlement is a fish-filled pool that has survived from that era to the present day.
