It lies at the Ayıklıçukur site within the boundaries of Sazlı village in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale province. Ceramic fragments datable to the Byzantine period, along with abundant pithos, brick, and roof-tile fragments, have been identified at the site. The area is thought to be a Byzantine settlement.
