Editor's Note
Strabo notes that this city, like Gargara and Assos, was an Aeolian colony. It sits on the summit of Mount Kozlu. Given its proximity to Assos, it can be said to have maintained intense social and economic cooperation with it. After the Hellenistic period the city lost its importance, and it is thought to have been abandoned after being absorbed into Assos or Gargara.
