Editor's Note
It lies at the Karakabac locality within the boundaries of Tuzla village in the Ayvacik district of Canakkale province. The site has yielded a sherd of Zeuxippus-type pottery with a high ring foot, important in Byzantine ceramic typology, along with tools, sherds made with stamped decoration, and small round-plan structures. Three round-plan water wells have also been identified. It is thought that the site may have been a farmstead settlement datable to the Byzantine period.
