Editor's Note
It was commissioned by Murad II. With its two-story inn section and camel stable, and its iwan-style crown portal, it is an exemplary structure of two parts. In the two-story inn, the upper rooms were where travelers slept and the ground floor was for resting. Two of the rooms are domed and the others are covered with vaulted arches. The central iwan is a small mosque. The exterior and roof of the building, along with the two domed cones, are clad in local tuff and cut stone.
