Story

A town in ancient Lycia, written both Kalabantia and Kalabatia, and in Greek as Καλαβαντία or Καλαβατία. What puts it on the record is a Roman milestone found at Patara: the Stadiasmus Patarensis gives the road distance from Sidyma to here as 24 stadia, roughly 4.4 kilometres. The remains lie today about 4 kilometres west of the village of Boğaziçi, in the Seydikemer district of Muğla province, on the lower shore below the Yediburunlar lighthouse. The site is listed as a settlement of the Lycian region.
