Editor's Note
A stadium in the Konak district of İzmir used mostly for football matches, with a capacity of 15,000. Formerly the Alsancak Stadium, it was built in 1929 on the site of the old ground of the Greek club Panionios and hosted Turkey's first-ever league match in 1959. Demolished in 2015 over earthquake-safety concerns, it was rebuilt between 2017 and 2021 and reopened on 26 November 2021, named in honor of footballer and coach Mustafa Denizli.
