Only limited information is currently available about the Smyrna Stadium. It lies on the southwestern slope of Pagos (Kadifekale), between the Air Forces Martyrs' Cemetery and the Old Fire Station Building. According to 19th-century maps, the stadium runs roughly east-west with a slight deviation, parallel to the city's southern wall in this section. U-shaped with its sphendone at the eastern end, the stadium's open, short side faces west.
