Editor's Note
A historic church in the Konak district of İzmir that no longer survives. Completed in 1793, it also served as a metropolitan seat. Its last bishop, Chrysostomos, was killed during the Greek occupation, and the church itself burned down and was reduced to ruins in the 1922 İzmir Fire.
