Construction of the Izmir Girls' High School building began in 1919, and it came into service in 1923. Seen from above, it is H-shaped. With a footprint of 4,428 square meters, the building is made of stone walls. Neoclassical in style and rectangular in plan, it is built of cut stone and covered with a hipped roof. The two-story building has an entrance section at its front with an outwardly projecting staircase, carried by four columns. It sits on a base raised above ground level. The facade has two rows of windows running its full length.
