Editor's Note
It is one of the most deeply rooted buildings in the history of Karsiyaka. After the proclamation of the Republic, it served as the building for the CHP Karsiyaka district headquarters, the People's House (Halk Evi), and the Karsiyaka Sports Club. Ataturk also visited the Mahfel in 1925 and 1926. Following the expropriation decision taken by the municipal council, it now awaits restoration.
