Editor's Note
Built in 1950, the apartment building was designed by Ziya Nebioglu. One of the last surviving examples of family apartment buildings, it has a plain modernist aesthetic. With its asymmetrical massing, its curved corner accentuated with pressed brick, the white borders at the floor levels that emphasize horizontality, the round columns at the balcony corners visible from the facade, and its rhythmic arrangement of windows, it reflects the architectural character of the era in which it was built. The building stands out for the richness created by its use of different colors and materials.
