Cevat Sakir Kabaagacli spent the final period of his life here and passed away in this house. The apartment building is named after his humanist greeting, "Merhaba!" (Hello!). In the period as his death drew near, gazing out of the window of his home here, he said: "I think I am a traveler. I will say hello to the world and be on my way. The scent of flowers reaches my nose. Open, open the windows. I want to see the sun one last time. I want to see freedom one last time. Hello children, hello world, hello..."
