Editor's Note
Guzeltepe Aqueduct (Cigli). Dating to the 17th-century Ottoman period, the Guzeltepe Aqueduct was built over the Maltepe Stream as part of the water line coming down from Mount Yamanlar. It was constructed using the rubble masonry technique with rough-hewn stone, rubble stone, and brick. Part of it has survived to the present day, while the start of the arch on the south side has collapsed. It is registered as a first-group cultural asset by the Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
