Manisa is a city in Turkey's Aegean Region, about 40 km northeast of İzmir, and the administrative seat of Manisa Province. It forms the urban part of the Şehzadeler and Yunusemre districts. A booming center of industry and services, it benefits from its proximity to the port city of İzmir and from its fertile, agriculturally rich hinterland.
