Editor's Note
Ibrahim Celebi was a man who served as judge and royal tutor in Manisa. The mosque, together with a small madrasa and a tomb, was built by Ibrahim Celebi in 1549. The building's second inscription is a repair inscription dated 1881. Dated AH 956 (AD 1549), it is a single-domed mosque with a square plan. The portico is covered by three domes. The door leading up to the minaret in the northwest corner is in the portico. Its symmetrical counterpart is on the left side. This door opens into the tomb section of the mosque. The square-plan cubic interior is covered by a dome.
