Editor's Note

Built in AH 889 / AD 1493. An octagonal drum was raised over the cubic substructure. The dome's inner spherical form is covered on the outside by a pyramidal roof clad in Turkish-style tiles. Its rubble-stone walls were plastered during repairs carried out in recent years, and the upper windows, with stone frames and oval forms, reflect 19th-century features inconsistent with the building's original period.
