The tomb stands within a park on Kayseri Avenue in the centre of Nevşehir. Hasan (Dede) Emmi, who is buried here and about whom little is known, was a notable figure of his time who lived in Nevşehir in the 18th century. Renowned for his exemplary life, his good character and his warm, smiling nature, this revered religious figure's tomb is still continually visited by the public today. Built of finely dressed cut stone, the tomb has a circular plan. This very small, dome-covered structure has a rectangular doorway on its southern side.
