Editor's Note
According to its inscription, the fountain was built by a man named Abdullatif in AH 1119 / AD 1708. In AH 1125 / AD 1714 it was repaired by a man named Riza. The fountain also underwent a further repair in AH 1325 / AD 1907. The Hoca Fikih Fountain has two inscriptions, one inside the fountain niche and the other on the rear facade. The inscription on the rear facade is illegible, being completely worn away.
