According to its repair inscription, the fountain was repaired by Fatma Hanim in AH 1168 / AD 1755. Its inscription is in Arabic, meaning roughly: 'Fatma Hanim had it repaired ... 1168.' It is a single-faced fountain of rectangular form. A pointed arch defines the fountain niche. It was built as a free-standing structure, not attached to any other building. The structure is made of cut stone. The fountain's water still flows and is in use today. Source: Adem Sevim, The Architecture of Fountains in Nevsehir and Its Districts, Master's Thesis, 2015.
