Editor's Note
It was built in 1307 by Colonel Seyfi Bey. It stands on the historic Silk Road following the Erzurum-Mus-Bitlis route. It was completely destroyed during the Russian occupation of 1916. Restored between 2015 and 2019, the han now serves as a restaurant. With its lower floor of cut stone and its upper floor of mudbrick in keeping with Seljuk architecture, the Yildizli Han occupies an area of 613 square meters. On the first floor of the Yildizli Han there were once safe-deposit shops, jewelers, drapers, coppersmiths, and silversmiths.
