Editor's Note
The Muş Great Mosque (Ulu Camii) stands in the city of Muş, west of the Alaeddin Bey and Hacı Şeref mosques. As it bears no inscription its exact date is uncertain, but it is thought to have first been built by Sheikh Muhammed-i Mağribi in 979. Architectural study suggests a newer structure was raised over an older one; it is described as a former Armenian church converted into a mosque, with the newer building dated to the 14th century.
