Editor's Note
It was built atop a rise south of the center of Bulanik, at the midpoint of the Korsu Stream Valley. Said to be very ancient and last restored in 1701, the church was, according to tradition, built over and dedicated to the tomb of the chorbishop Taniyel Asori (Daniel the Syrian, d. 347), who is thought to have been a disciple of Saint Gregory the Illuminator.
